Study Abroad: Italy

The uniqueness of this program lies in its foundation in experiential learning. Our courses in language, art, culture and international business are deeply enriched by hands-on experience in the field. This philosophy is best revealed in our extensive use of the physical cities as the classroom and in our internship program. Courses such as Survey of Art and Architecture in Italy and Studies in Italian Culture are taught on the streets of Rome and in other cities, including Florence, Pompeii, Paestum, Naples, Assisi and Venice. Drawing and Design in Rome is taught in a gallery, close to the Roman Forum. The basement of the gallery (where our studio is located) is an archeological wonderland. It offers remnants of a Byzantine church and of an ancient Roman store that dates back to Emperor Trajan.
